Submission Call — Games We Play (LGBTQ Romance Stories)

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Games We Play (LGBTQ Romance Stories)

Deadline: December 31, 2017
Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, auto-renews

NOTE: This isn’t an anthology; the stories will be released as individual ebooks with unique covers.

For this submissions call, we’re looking for sexy romance and erotic romance LGBT stories involving games. Not the he-said/she-said variety, but games the characters play that bring them together.

Maybe a man finds the love of his life in the opponent facing off against him in the final round of a Scrabble tournament. Or a married couple invites a friend over for a rousing game of strip poker. Does an online RPG bring together lovers IRL? What happens when an innocent game of Twister moves from the floor to the bed? And just how rowdy can a game of Cards Against Humanity get?

These stories aren’t limited to board, card, or video games. Sport stories are also welcome as long as the romance is between two players (they can be facing off against each other on opposing teams or playing on the same side).

The books will NOT be released as an anthology, and there is no upfront payment; authors will be paid quarterly on actual sales earned. If you haven’t published with us before, feel free to request a sample contract prior to submission.

NOTE: We will not be able to accept stories whose titles contain trademarked or copyrighted names (such as Scrabble, Twister, or Cards Against Humanity). However, these and other trademarked game names may be used in the story.
