Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, auto-renews

NOTE: This isn’t an anthology; the stories will be released as individual ebooks with unique covers.

We are looking for queer romance and erotic romance stories set during an apocalyptic or post-apocalyptic event. Stories can also be dystopian, but don’t have to be. It’s the end of the world — or the world as we know it has already ended — and two (or more) survivors find love among the rubble.

The story can contain any LGBTQ pairing in any subgenre, but the main characters must be involved in a romance (sweet or erotic).

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

  • Stories must be between 12,000 words or longer
  • Stories must contain a romance — any heat level, from sweet to erotic
  • Romantic pairing must be LGBTQ (including but not limited to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, asexual, and pansexual)
  • Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, etc.)
  • Stories must have a HEA or HFN ending
  • Adult stories only (no YA)

All stories submitted must adhere to the general guidelines found on our website. We do not consider multiple or simultaneous submissions. Reprints will be considered only if the author holds exclusive rights to republish.

HOW TO SUBMIT:

Please follow our submission guidelines on our site to submit the story. Submissions over 40,000 words must include a chapter-by-chapter synopsis.

We will acknowledge submissions within 1 day and have a response to you within 4 business days.

Submission Call — What’s Your Sign? (LGBTQ romance)

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

What’s Your Sign? (LGBTQ romance)

Deadline: March 31, 2018
Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, auto-renews

NOTE: This isn’t an anthology; the stories will be released as individual ebooks with unique covers.

We are looking for queer romance and erotic romance stories which include horoscopes or astrological signs in some way. It can be the Western astrology you’re probably already familiar with — sun signs, or the signs of the zodiac — or it could be any other astrological tradition, such as Chinese or Egyptian.

Paranormal stories are welcome, of course, but we’re also interested in stories in which astrology somehow plays a part. Maybe a young woman looking for love finds it in the unexpected embrace of a lovely fortune teller. Or a horoscope predicts love between two men in the best possible way. Or maybe that age-old pickup line, “What’s your sign?” really works for once.

NOTE: The astrological sign does not have to be in the title of your story.

  • The romance must somehow involve astrology or horoscopes — how much of a role it plays in the story is up to you
  • Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, etc.)

Submission Call — Ride ‘Em Cowboy … or Cowgirl (LGBTQ romance)

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Ride ‘Em Cowboy … or Cowgirl (LGBTQ romance)

Deadline: February 28, 2018
Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, auto-renews

NOTE: This isn’t an anthology; the stories will be released as individual ebooks with unique covers.

We are looking for queer romance and erotic romance stories featuring cowboys — and cowgirls. Of course, this includes rustlers, outlaws, and bandits, cattle barons and ranchers and hired hands hauling hay. But we’d also like to see sexy men and women riding in rodeos and breaking broncos, traveling the dusty roads as stagecoach drivers or country singers, maybe even a saloon owner or patron (or two).

Then there are the stories about cowboys that aren’t strictly historical or western. Steampunk, science fiction, paranormal, fantasy … as long as your character has that ephemeral and hard-to-define cowboy attitude, we want to read about it!

  • At least one main character must be a cowboy or cowgirl
  • Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, etc.) — they don’t necessarily have to be westerns

Opposites Attract (LGBTQ romance)

Deadline: January 31, 2018
Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, auto-renews

NOTE: This isn’t an anthology; the stories will be released as individual ebooks with unique covers.

We are looking for queer romance and erotic romance stories featuring two (or more!) characters who are complete opposites, but who fall in love anyway. Think people from different walks of life, different careers, even different colleges or opposing sports teams. Whatever it is that opens a gulf between them ultimately turns out to be what attracts them to each other.

Maybe a city slicker swaps his business suits for jeans and flannel when he meets the man of his dreams in the country. Or neighbors with different tastes in music connect even though each thinks the other listens to garbage. Or Mr. Type A falls for a laid back, relaxed coworker who shows him there’s more to life than getting ahead. Or a buff jock falls for a nerdy Poindexter. Or a straight-and-narrow policewoman collars a serial burglar who steals her heart.

The story can contain any LGBTQ pairing in any subgenre, but the main characters must be involved in a romance (sweet or erotic) and they must be opposites in some way who are attracted to each other despite their differences.

  • Stories must involve opposites in some way who are attracted to each other despite their differences
  • Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, etc.)

Submission Call — Games We Play (LGBTQ Romance Stories)

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Games We Play (LGBTQ Romance Stories)

Deadline: December 31, 2017
Payment: 50% net royalties from all channels, to be paid quarterly
Contract: 2 years exclusive, auto-renews

NOTE: This isn’t an anthology; the stories will be released as individual ebooks with unique covers.

For this submissions call, we’re looking for sexy romance and erotic romance LGBT stories involving games. Not the he-said/she-said variety, but games the characters play that bring them together.

Maybe a man finds the love of his life in the opponent facing off against him in the final round of a Scrabble tournament. Or a married couple invites a friend over for a rousing game of strip poker. Does an online RPG bring together lovers IRL? What happens when an innocent game of Twister moves from the floor to the bed? And just how rowdy can a game of Cards Against Humanity get?

These stories aren’t limited to board, card, or video games. Sport stories are also welcome as long as the romance is between two players (they can be facing off against each other on opposing teams or playing on the same side).

The books will NOT be released as an anthology, and there is no upfront payment; authors will be paid quarterly on actual sales earned. If you haven’t published with us before, feel free to request a sample contract prior to submission.

NOTE: We will not be able to accept stories whose titles contain trademarked or copyrighted names (such as Scrabble, Twister, or Cards Against Humanity). However, these and other trademarked game names may be used in the story.

  • Stories must involvea game that brings the characters together
  • Stories may be any subgenre (contemporary, historical, paranormal, etc.)
